Priests Can’t Sell, Says Dallas Bishop

The Episcopal bishop in Dallas has published new rules that ban religious figures from selling to congregants. This comes as a result of Rev. William Warnky’s fraud:

Last month Stanton suspended the Rev. William Warnky, citing financial regulators’ ruling that Warnky defrauded an ex-parishioner of $50,000. Warnky was already serving 10 years’ probation for contempt of court because he didn’t pay a similar amount of child support to one of his ex-wives.
